Flare is the small, fast version of GPT Image 2.5, and OpenAI says its quality is comparable to GPT Image 2. GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst is the base model, which OpenAI says gives higher image quality and suits work where editing precision matters most. Both offer transparent backgrounds and five quality levels
Does GPT Image 2.5 Flare support a transparent background?
Yes, according to OpenAI. Set the background to transparent and save as PNG or WEBP, since JPEG does not keep transparency. It is handy for a logo or a product you place on another design
What do the five quality levels in GPT Image 2.5 Flare mean?
There are low, medium, high, xhigh and max, and higher quality gives finer detail, takes longer and costs more. In our experience yes, the new GPT Image models write good Hebrew inside images. We have not run a direct test on this model itself, and in our internal test GPT Image 2 wrote correct Hebrew. Check every image before you use it
