What creating with AI costs and how to pay less

The short answer

There is no single price for AI. A few seconds of video, one image and a minute of voiceover cost very different amounts, depending on the model and on settings such as length, resolution and number of images. To give a real picture, this is what a few common generations cost right now:

Every price in this guide is computed as the page loads, with the same calculation the studio shows before every generation. Prices show in shekels including VAT and in credits, where one credit is worth ₪0.10.

What sets the price

The price of a generation follows the model and a few of its settings. Every model page has a table that shows how its settings change its price, and here is what each of them does.

The model

Every model is priced differently, and many models come in a fast or budget version beside the full one. At the same settings, 8 seconds at 720p, Veo 3.1 costs ₪5.8658.58 crVeo 3.1, 720p · 8s · with sound and Veo 3.1 Lite costs ₪0.707.03 crVeo 3.1 Lite, 720p · 8s · with sound.

Clip length

Most video models are priced by the second, so a longer clip costs more. In Kling 3.0, for example, 5 seconds cost ₪2.1121.09 crKling 3.0, 1080p · 5s · no sound and 10 seconds cost ₪4.2242.18 crKling 3.0, 1080p · 10s · no sound. Some models are priced per clip, and then extra seconds do not always change the price. The price table on the model page shows it for every length.

Resolution

A higher resolution usually costs more, sometimes a lot more. In Veo 3.1 Fast, an 8 second clip at 720p costs ₪1.4114.06 crVeo 3.1 Fast, 720p · 8s · with sound, and at 4K it costs ₪4.2242.18 crVeo 3.1 Fast, 4K · 8s · with sound.

Sound

In some video models the built-in sound changes the price. Sometimes sound makes a generation cost more, and sometimes turning it off is what costs more. When that happens, the studio says so next to the switch, so you never find out afterwards.

Number of images and quality

Images are charged one by one, so four images in one request cost more than one. In models that let you choose quality, higher quality usually costs more: in GPT Image 2 a low quality image costs ₪0.060.57 crGPT Image 2, 1K · 1 image · Low quality, and a high quality one ₪0.606.00 crGPT Image 2, 1K · 1 image · High quality.

Length of the text read aloud

Models that read text aloud are priced by the number of characters. In Eleven v3, 1,000 characters cost ₪0.474.69 crEleven v3, 1,000 chars, and 5,000 characters cost ₪2.3423.44 crEleven v3, 5,000 chars.

What common generations cost today

These tables are computed as the page loads, with the same calculation the studio shows before a generation. Each row is one generation at the settings written in it.

A monthly subscription or paying per generation

On many platforms you pay a monthly subscription that includes a quota of credits, and unused credits are lost when the cycle resets. On a plan like that the real price of a generation is the plan price divided by what you actually used: use half of the credits and every generation costs twice the price on the plan, use a quarter and it costs four times as much.

Here there is no subscription and no cycle. You buy credits in advance, pay only for the generations you send, and unused credits stay in your balance and do not expire while your account exists.

A subscription can pay off for someone who uses a large plan to the last credit every month. Someone who creates as needed, a lot in one month and a little in the next, pays per generation for exactly what they made.

The exact price before every generation

Before every generation the studio shows the exact price in credits, and that is the amount that leaves your balance, not an estimate. Changing the length, resolution or number of images updates it at once. If the price goes up just before you send, nothing is sent until you confirm the new price.

Through the API and MCP every generation carries a price cap, max_credits. A generation that costs more than the cap is not sent and nothing is charged. And if a generation fails

A generation that fails gives all its credits back to your balance, automatically and with nothing to ask for. A generation that has not finished within two hours is checked one last time: if the result is ready it is saved to your library, and if not, it is closed and its credits come back. Every refund shows in your activity, and the details are on the cancellation and refunds page.

How to pay less

• Start with the budget version. Many models have a fast or budget version, such as Veo 3.1 Lite or Seedance 2.0 Mini. Test the idea there and move to the full version only for the final result
• Short drafts at a low resolution. A short length and a low resolution cost less. Choose the final resolution once the prompt already works
• Check whether the price is per second or per clip. The table on the model page shows whether each second adds to the price. When the price is per clip, choose the length you need without paying for every second
• One image at a time while exploring. Each image is charged on its own, so make several at once only when you already know what works
• Quality as needed. For a draft, low or medium quality is usually enough, and high quality is for the final version
• A tight script for voiceover. Voiceover is priced by the character, so every extra sentence costs money
• Delete files you do not need. The first 1 GB of storage is free, and each extra GB costs ₪10 a month from your balance. Deleting files from your library frees space
• A price cap in automations. If you create through the API or MCP, set max_credits on every generation, so a request that costs more than you expect is never sent
